The Three Teas

Long Island Iced Tea, Adios Mother Fucker, Tokyo Tea

Long Island Iced Tea

These drinks have a reputation of getting you fucked up quickly. Don't get me wrong, they will get you fucked up and fast. Most recipes (and depending on the bartender and how loose he is with his count) have about 2 1/2 ounces to 3 ounces of alcohol which is a lot but is the same amount as a stranded martini. But what really gets you drunk is the mixing of completely different types of booze. These are easy and fun to drink, and will get you drunk.

The three drinks consist of 4 different types of alcohol:

Vodka
Rum
Gin
Triple Sec

The Long Island has Tequila and the others no not. The tequila is substituted with a liqueur.

Long Island Iced Tea
The Long Island is the most popular of the three and the original. Though normally known as a club drink it is perfectly acceptable to order one at a four star restaurant since it is considered a classic cocktail. The original recipe has and always will have tequila. Don't let anyone tell you other wise. The sweet and sour takes away most of the alcohol taste but it will still be there, trust me. It's a pretty tasty drink and the coke works nice as well.

1/2 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Rum
1/2 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1/2 oz. Tequila
1 oz. Sweet and Sour

Shake ingredient over ice and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top off with coke and garnish with a lemon and enjoy!

Adios Mother Fucker aka Adios aka AMF aka Code Blue
Yes, I've heard them ordered by all four names before. You'll now notice that the tequila is missing in this recipe, as it is now substituted with Blue Curacao which is a orange liqueur (that's blue in color). This drink is a lot sweeter than the Long Island.

1/2 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Rum
1/2 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1 1/2 oz. Sweet and Sour

Shake ingredient over ice and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top off with Blue Curacao and garnish with a cherry and enjoy!

The Adios!
Tokyo Tea
The sweetest of the three in my opinion it is also the least known. It is my personal favorite of the three because it is a great crowd pleaser due to its vibrant green. Same thing as the Adios but instead of Blue Curacao it will be Midori, which is a melon liqueur.

1/2 oz. Vodka
1/2 oz. Rum
1/2 oz. Gin
1/2 oz. Triple Sec
1 1/2 oz. Sweet and Sour

Shake ingredient over ice and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top off with Midori and garnish with a cherry and enjoy!
